What an exciting weekend this was! Saturday, 7 October saw the long-awaited premiere of “The Pilots”musical. A red carpet, camera flashes, distinguished guests and, most importantly, an excellent show which was wildly applauded and received a standing ovation!
From the beginning the show promised to be a fantastic though stressful event, as with every premiere. However, the audience was very responsive and enthusiastic from the beginning. There were some very emotional moments, many funny fragments and even explosive surprises. Thunderous applause could be heard after almost every scene. The audience was delighted with all the elements of the show: music, vocal and acting work, choreography, stage design and costumes, as well as impressive visualisations presented on big LED screens. All of this came together to form a perfect whole. It wasn’t long before viewers’ impressions were reiterated, as the first review published after the premiere carried the headline: “The Pilots” staged at ROMA Musical Theatre is a triumph. Fire on stage and excellent vocal parts. The author of the review (Jakub Panek) goes on to say: “Pilots”, created and directed by Wojciech Kępczyński, is a triumph for the Polish musical theatre” (gazeta.pl).
After the end of the show, the artists and people involved in production appeared on stage to receive a long standing ovation.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to our Premiere Partners: EcoCar, Grycan, Centrum Wina, Cydr Lubelski, Rodzina Wódek i Nalewek “Saska”, Vapiano, Loyd, Mokate, and to Hotel Polonia Palace, which hosted the reception.
